Our 5 Pillars of Time-Management
These principles make the Evergreen approach to time-management totally DIFFERENT.
1. Calling
As people made in the Image of God and given the Dominion Mandate, it is a core calling for us to bring order out of chaos and to be as fruitful as possible with the time that we have been given.
2. Stewardship
We are called to think multi-generationally. We cannot just sink all of our time into self-fulfilling pursuits. Even if we are not biological parents, we are duty-bound to care deeply about and invest in future generations. And this usually means balancing multiple roles. We must have a long-term vision for the decisions we're making in our day-to-day lives.
3. Prioritization
Time limitations should be a powerful catalyst for getting laser-focused on what will actually move the needle in your life. You should always apply the 80/20 rule to your task lists.
4. Self-Discipline
You must actively and daily train your brain to prioritize your goals AND consistently devote undistracted time to making progress on them if you want to gain the attention span and emotional bandwidth you need to follow through!
5. Confidence
You cannot control the future. While it is absolutely your responsibility to plan ahead and "count the cost," everything we plan to do must be done with a Lord-willing posture. Therefore, we must be ready to pivot and grow, trusting that God is developing our plans with His good Providence.
