a planner and a practice

How does the Evergreen Planning Method work?

A home for your mind

The weight you feel isn’t proof you’re carrying too much. It’s a signal your mind has nowhere to set it all down. A conventional planner can’t fix that, because most planners are built on outdated productivity ideas designed for a predictable nine-to-five.

And mama, predictability just isn’t our season!

Evergreen was built to give you a place away from the noise to do the deep work of motherhood.

The result? When everything lives somewhere trustworthy instead of swirling in your head, the load stops overwhelming you and starts becoming the joy it was always meant to be.

  • The planner

Research-based booklets featuring our signature dutchdoor layout.

Our unique system equips you to manage a full year of planning plus weekly and daily dashboards without the bulk of a traditional 12-month planner—all in a way that feels intuitive once you learn it!

Protected by a handmade genuine leather Cover built to withstand the demands of mom life.

  • The practice

A proven way to approach the logistics intrinsic to the deep work of motherhood. Experience undistracted time sitting down to take dominion of the details rather than continuing to feel dominated by them.

The Renew Course will teach you six deep-planning skills layer-by-layer, each building on the last, until planning stops being one more thing to keep up with and instead becomes a confident lifestyle of godly time-stewardship.

Why this works, even if nothing else has

Most planners get abandoned the moment real life hits.

The Evergreen Planning Method is different.

Our planner meets you where you are and becomes a natural extension of the way you work while six layered deep-planning skills, taught in our Renew Course, build on one another—healing your relationship with time and exploding your fruitfulness within the very season God has you.

  1. The planner closed on a bedside table beside coffee, a watch, and jewelry

    practice one

    Plan in context

The plans we make should grow out of the season we’re actually in. When we fight our season—forcing ourselves through mental hoops to meet the unrealistic expectations of an over-engineered planner—we end up striving instead of strategizing. Intentional living means recognizing the unique productivity personality God has given you, understanding how it overlaps with the season and dynamics He has placed you within, and making your plan accordingly. The Evergreen Planning Method starts here.

  2. The planner open in its leather Cover

    practice two

    The Morning Habit

God has already given you enough time to do everything He’s calling you to do. The problem is that, like most mamas, you’re probably not giving yourself enough undistracted space for the deep planning that motherhood requires. Yet you’re not a machine who should expect yourself to make flawless decisions on the fly with impeccable timing. Real life is far more dynamic than that—and you’re the decision-maker in the middle holding it all together! You need a morning (or evening-before) habit allowing you to creatively solve problems, apply productivity strategies, pivot when plans change, and proactively protect rest.

  3. Handwritten todo lists in the planner

    practice three

    Taming your todo list

Imagine having a brain that organizes itself! This is possible when you give up the inefficient todo list and replace it with a prayerfully crafted custom task-management system that honors your unique style of working and only surfaces todos when they’re actually relevant to your day. This is the hardest skill to learn, but once it’s mastered, our students say it forever changed their relationship with stress, focus, and productivity.

  4. A week planned across the open planner

    practice four

    Crafting week rhythms

Everyone knows they need strong rhythms—but Renew will actually help you discover the rhythms you have that are already working (there usually are several!). It will then guide you to fill in the gaps, wisely arrange your activities, protect margin, and build in new habits to nourish your long-range vision for life.

  5. The planner open over its leather cover, mid-planning

    practice five

    Flexible timeblocking

Both an art and a science, our flexible approach to timeblocking holds the secret to following through on what matters most—even when plans change. Learn how to effectively choose your three top targets, carve them into your daily rhythms, and pad everything with margin. Then when Providence changes the terrain of your schedule, you can graciously pivot instead of unraveling, becoming a drill sergeant, or dropping commitments.

  6. A goals spread in the planner beside AirPods

    practice six

    ROOTED Goals Primer

Other goal-setting systems start by asking what you want for your life. ROOTED starts by asking how you’re uniquely called as a disciple of Christ to serve in the spaces where God has placed you. This is where you dig into the work of crafting your long-range vision for life and connect your daily choices to what will still matter for generations. Once you’ve experienced the ROOTED primer, you can go deeper with the ROOTED Goals Workbook and sharpen your focus quarter after quarter. This is where the practice intersects with legacy, and where daily faithfulness finally compounds into a multi-generational harvest.

What the planner includes

The Evergreen Planner is a traveler’s-journal system: one handmade genuine-leather Cover with interchangeable booklets inside.

With the entire system in hand, you can plan your year, your month, your week, your day—and even your next hour—without the unwieldy bulk of a conventional 12-month planner.

Every layout is research-based and proven through years of field-testing by hundreds of real mamas in busy seasons just like yours.

  1. The Classic Day Planner

    plan in context

    The Classic

The Classic Day Planner makes the practice easy. Our signature dutchdoor layout lets you plan each day in the context of your week. It was designed through years of research and refinement to free us mamas from attention-switching, decision fatigue, straight-jacket scheduling, juggling multiple apps and planners, and planning each area of our lives in a vacuum.

    1. Plan your days in context of your week. The dutchdoor edges fold back or tear off so your day-to-day activities never crowd out your long-range vision. The timeblocker allows you to sketch out your daily rhythms and fit your top targets into the flow of your day, placing your todo list right beside the timeframe when it’s getting done. Your priorities, responsibilities, goals, and rhythms are harmonized in one place.
    2. Fully customizable to the way you think. Get everything out of your mind and onto paper. Ample flex space allows you to add to the layout, while minimalist typesetting even allows you to cover up and “remove” prompts, too.
    3. Never run out of planner. Fresh booklets arrive at the delivery cadence you choose, so you never run out of pages or lose momentum. They also come undated so you can confidently start anytime. And as long as you’re subscribed to planner deliveries, you’ll also have ongoing access to the Renew Course and the Evergreen community.
  2. The Annual styled on a desk

    a bird’s-eye view

    The Annual

The Annual calendar booklet allows you to plan ahead all year long, without the bulk of a conventional twelve-month planner.

    1. A bird’s-eye view of your whole year. Twelve undated month spreads allow you to plan ahead (holidays, travel, field trips, doctor’s appointments, your next term, etc.) Interspersed blank grid pages provide plenty of space for weekly rhythm charts, long-range habit trackers, brainstorming, your ROOTED Goals, and your own custom layouts.
    2. One cohesive system. A single binder clip can connect your current month spread in the Annual to your current week dashboard in the Classic. While you swap your Classic Day Planner booklets month after month, the Annual calendar booklet stays all year long.
    3. A keepsake in the making—seasonal journal entries, reading notes, cards, and artwork from your children. Clip these in behind polaroids, ultrasounds, ticket stubs, and dried flowers to become an organically developed and deeply meaningful scrapbook of your year.
  3. A leather Cover, handcrafted

    a home for your mind

    The Cover

Choose the Heirloom Cover or the Minimalist Sleeve. Each one is genuine top-grain leather, handcrafted by co-founder McCauley in her studio at naptime, released in small batches of limited-run colorways.

    1. One home for all the details of your life—the Heirloom holds four booklets plus a journal, plus extra pockets for tidbits, pens, and accessories, so everything you need stays at your fingertips.
    2. Built to last: reinforced stitching and replaceable elastics—our original batch of Heirloom Covers have been in daily use for over five years.
    3. Whether you choose the Heirloom or the Sleeve, it will simply grow more beautiful the longer you use it.
The Getting Started Kit laid out on a desk: two Evergreen planner booklets, two printed setup guides, a mug, a leather journal, and an iPad playing the Renew course.
